Company mission: Our mission is to build an exciting future society by collaborating with the community to create regenerative projects that combine innovation, traditional wisdom, and nature.

Project Goal: Transform a century-old farmhouse into a community center benefiting Kumano City and the Kii region. This immersive space shares Kumano's local heritage with interested communities, featuring the origins of the enchanting Zelda world. Additionally, it serves as an ideal venue for company retreats, igniting creativity and fostering global engagement.

    Kumano Shindo is renovating an akiya (abandoned house) and land in Kumano, Japan, and turning it into a regenerative innovation hub that is part of the Govt. of Japan's INNO network. This 100-year-old akiya will be transformed into a "gathering place for innovation and creation," and will play a new role for the local community! Kumano Shindo addresses the challenge of rural abandonment by bringing new energy and international exchange to Kumano, as well as highlighting the unique soul of this region.

The Team

The team comprises individuals with diverse expertise and experiences to renovate land in Japan.

  • Adam Lobel, the Representative Director, brings international sales management and research experience.
  • Kouji Miki, the Director, focuses on Zen-based management and mindfulness.
  • Carolina Carvalho (left), also a Director, specializes in ecological research and permaculture.
